My little Wedding Shop

My little Wedding Shop is an independent boutique in the beautiful market town of Bridgnorth, Shropshire.

We specialise in providing a once in a lifetime experience for our brides from the moment we say 'hello' through to packing your perfect bridal gown and accessories ready for your special day.

Every one of our bridal gowns is designed and created right here at the boutique. We work with our brides on choosing the perfect dress for them, selecting the materials and laces and choosing the perfect finishing touches which make our gowns so special. Every gown is then made to measure for our brides ensuring the fit and finish is just right! This attention to detail & design has been recognised nationally with our gowns and veils featured in Vogue Magazine, Hello! Magazine, Love My Dress, West Midlands Wedding Magazine & elsewhere.

We also design and create personal bridal accessories to complete your trousseau from stunning veils and intricate embellishments to hidden garters and special day handkerchiefs.

In addition to our gowns, we champion British designers and are proud to be stockists of  Harriet Wilde footwear, Victoria Millésime accessories, Julieann Bird jewellery, Rachel Hyde tiaras & Irregular Choice shoes.

To complete every brides' outfit, the boutique also features  Poirier lingerie and even Evercreature 'I Do' Wedding Wellingtons!

My little Wedding Shop is owned by Jennifer Bone, a bridal wear designer with a flair for the vintage. Jenny has been creating outfits and costumes since she was at primary school and her mother taught her to sew. This did mean that she spent her teenage years in a number of hand crafted creations that make her cringe, but at least no-one else was dressed like her!

Jenny graduated with a BA hons degree in Costume Production from Rose Bruford College in London and went on to work in theatre and opera designing and creating costumes for performances and events.  She started making bridal wear for friends and family in her 20's, even making her own wedding dress in 2008.  My little Wedding Shop was launched in 2011 and since then has established a reputation for beautiful design, wonderful customer service and a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

My little Wedding Shop is not just a bridal shop, as all our brides comment, it is a wonderful experience. So come and see for yourself and contact the boutique to make your appointment.

Why Have a Bespoke Wedding Dress?

Having your wedding gown made for you by an experienced and creative dress designer is not a cheap alternative to having a designer dress; it is having a one off, designer gown that is unique to you that fits within your budget.

Sharing your vision - Many brides have a vision of their wedding day, the venue, the time of year, the theme and the colours all combine to create a reflection of the happy couple on their special day. Sharing this vision with your wedding dress designer enables them to work with you to design your very own, unique and individual wedding gown.  Wether you want to incorporate colours, envision specific movement or focus on tiny details, this can all be achieved by sharing your vision with someone who understands fabric, fit and the importance of your wedding dress to you.

Its all in the fit. - Very few women are a standardised size and the importance of a perfect fit in your wedding dress cannot be understated.  As a bride, you want your gown to look just as good after you have eatenand danced the night away as it did when you first stepped down the aisle.  Working with an experienced dress designer can ensure that the style of dress is right for your body shape and that the fit is just right, comfortable and accentuates all your best features.  Having your dress made for you means that you will have fittings throughout the process, checking the fit of the bodice; seeing how the skirt falls and accommodating those last minute figure changes.

Getting the perfect finish - It is often the little details that bring that final ’wow’ factor, wether it is hand cut lace motifs individually placed for the perfect cascade, having a train hook-up that creates a dazzling evening look to your dress whilst keeping your hands free to enjoy the attention or having your shoes beaded to match the belt at your waist; these are all part of having your dress created especially for you.
